The publisher has decided to push the two ambitious big hitters into the ”first half of fiscal 2010,” which means anytime between November 1st to April 31st next year.
The delay is to permit ”additional development” on both titles and help ”maximize their full potential” in the market. Both had up until now been expected before October 31st this year.
Red Dead Redemption is an open-world Wild West tale powered by the same engine behind Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV. Mafia II is the sequel to the crime family drama that gave 2K Czech its fame and well deserved glory.
Mafia II and Red Dead Redemption are both being developed for Xbox 360 and PS3, with the former also coming to PC.
