According to ”multiple sources” the Bionic Commando and Terminator developer has been hit with cutbacks; GRIN even trims 30 from their HQ in Stockholm.
The tally is between 100 and 160 employees facing redundancy at the studio, which has office space in Spain, Sweden and Indonesia. At least two studios are facing closed doors.
”Sweden-based developer GRIN is said to be the latest game studio hit by cutbacks, as multiple sources have told Kotaku that the Bionic Commando and Terminator: Salvation dev has laid off more than 100 staffers,” reports Kotaku.
Troubling news indeed. Their most recently released title was Terminator Salvation for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC but unfortunately has been met with lukewarm reception from critics and gamers.
Bionic Commando Rearmed and Wanted: Weapons of Fate shipped last year too much better success. So far there has been no official word from GRIN.
