There is just one thing - don’t expect to see any Mortal Kombat or Metal Slug. Only titles rated ”E or E10+” will feature in Game Room.
”Games available for download within Game Room will carry either E or E10+ ratings. We currently have no plans to feature titles” of higher teen or mature ratings, a Microsoft rep told GamerBytes. Effectively for most then, Game Room is a total bust already.
While a lot of arcade titles of yore can easily fall under the E or E10+ category, so many more gems like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat will be blacklisted because of their Teen or Mature rating given by the ESRB.
Luckily they aren’t quite as strict when it comes to arcade titles and ratings. The Streets of Rage series for example landed E10+, as did the first two Final Fights. Does something like Game Room interest you?
