Microsoft is half way to their 5 million unit goal for Kinect by the end of this year. In the first 10 days it sold 1m, and 15 days later it sold another 1.5m.
It was helped by the Black Friday sales frenzy in America said Microsoft. They’re working hard to ”expedite production” to help meet ”consumer response”.
”We are thrilled about the consumer response to Kinect, and are working hard with our retail and manufacturing partners to expedite production and shipments of Kinect to restock shelves as fast as possible to keep up with demand,” said executive Don Mattrick.
”With sales already exceeding two and a half million units in just 25 days, we are on pace to reach our forecast of 5 million units sold to consumers this holiday.” Kinect launched first in the US on November 4th, and on the 10th in the UK and Europe.
