You might remember that ‘RedLime’ was the codename for EA and Starbreeze’s revealed 2008 project, featuring an ”innovative take” on old IP.
It has been believed for a long time now that EA subsidiary Starbreeze Studios, based in Sweden, have been very busy reviving the classic Peter Molyneux IP of Syndicate. EA blabbed that ‘RedLime’ was ”an incredibly innovative take on a classic property” in ‘08.
Why just last month The Darkness developer Starbreeze was caught tangled up with Syndicate trademark red tape, fuelling speculation that ‘Project Red’ rated by the OFLC is actually the impending ‘Project RedLime’, aka Syndicate 2.0.
Whatever it is though it’s packing ”strong violence” and landed itself an MA15+ certificate, the highest rating a videogame can get Down Under. Syndicate was no sunshine and lollipop game, it packed some big guns and lots of corporate backstabbery.
Are you hoping for Syndicate’s revival?
