Wedbush Morgan’s top economy-whisperer, Michael Pachter, believes that those ailing videogame cha-chings will pick up this year.
Retailers GameStop and Best Buy will have ”solid” performances despite a ”weak environment” says Pachter in his notes. Yay.
”We believe that industry sales will rebound in 2010,” said Pachter in his scribbling, reports VG247, saying that GameStop “is well-positioned to reap the rewards.”
2009 was a rather horrid time for the US bit of the industry, as they showed constant streams of year-on-year drops. In fact only September showed anything worthwhile, albeit a single percentile, thanks to The Beatles: Rock Band, Halo 3: ODST and Madden.
