NCsoft unveil 'Ultra Mode' for City of Heroes, a graphics overhaul

Superhero MMO City of Heroes will have some much needed cosmetic surgery come Issue 17: Dark Mirror, as NCsoft announce ‘Ultra Mode’.

This graphics setting greatly alters the game world’s lighting, shadows, reflections and water effects to not offend the modern HD gamer.

The upcoming ‘Going Rogue’ expansion pack for City of Heroes will be even better because it was developed with ‘Ultra Mode’ in its sights from the ground up. Issue 17 isn’t all about making things prettier to look at, reports VideoGamer.com, it also features:

- New badges, new missions and new player emotes

• Epic Archetypes now available at level 20

• Improvements and additions to Mission Architect

• Enhancements to UI and game systems

• And more
