Mass Effect 3 Plot Details Leaked

The details of Mass Effect 3 were accidentally leaked by the EA Store, which inadvertently posted the pre-order page, which was probably supposed to go live after the Spike TV Videogame Awards.

Judging by the game description that was posted on the page, things just took a serious turn for the worse, as ”the Earth is burning”.

To wit: “Earth is burning. Striking from beyond known space, a race of terrifying machines have begun their destruction of the human race. As Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine, your only hope for saving mankind is to rally the civilizations of the galaxy and launch one final mission to take back the Earth.”

Holy flarging snit.

If that description doesn’t get your juices flowing for Mass Effect 3, then check yourself into the morgue - you’re already dead.

This will be the first simultaneous PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release in the series; the PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2 launches in January 2011.
