More 3D titles like Batman: Arkham Asylum ”are on the way,” affirm Microsoft. The LG-Xbox 360 bundle is ”specific” to South Korea, but may spread.
”As we’ve said before, 3D games are available today on Xbox 360 and will continue to evolve. Today, you can buy a 3DTV and wear glasses to play games like Avatar, and more titles like Batman: Arkham Asylum are on the way,” Microsoft UK told Edge.
”The promotional partnership with LG announced in South Korea today is specific to the South Korean market, but is further evidence that as 3D adoption grows, Xbox 360 will support 3D games and entertainment.”
Sony is already drumming up noise for more 3D games and movies as they launch their Bravia series of TV that is fully 3D enabled, and have firmware in place for the PlayStation 3 to take advantage of the third dimension.
Both Microsoft and Sony seem intent on entering both the motion control and 3D gaming markets at the same time, unwilling to let the other gain a starting lead.
