It would appear to be heading for consoles, PC and online too. Not since Oni in 2001 has Bungie developed a PC title internally - desktops are jubilant.
Activision and Bungie have announced they have a 10 publishing contract together, or a ”10yr. Alliance” as the presentation slide puts it. Until now nothing has been said on the new IP the studio is working on, especially platforms.
While Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 both made it to PC they weren’t handled by Bungie but an external studio. Finally the PC is getting some Bungie love again.
