PTV say they give backing to innovative technology companies, and Eutechnyx made the list with their new title set to ”revolutionise” racing games.
Eutechnyx is a worldwide independent videogames developer, with studios in three different corners of the globe. Amsterdam-based PTV have crammed £6m into their coffers to help keep their brand new racing title alive and set to blow our minds.
”When we saw what Eutechnyx was working on, we knew we had to be involved, particularly given Eutechnyx’s track record, design heritage and jaw-dropping technology,” said Monish Suri, a partner at Prime Technology Ventures, reports CVG.
It’s all for a ”ground-breaking new title set to revolutionise the racing genre”.
”As an independent developer, this infusion will help us to continue to forge our own destiny within a rapidly changing games industry,” said Eutechnyx CEO Brian Jobling.
”Not only does the investment enable us to continue to innovate, we can continue to do so on our own terms.” The racing genre has heated up a little recently thanks to Forza Motorsport 3, the impending arrival of Gran Turismo 5 and Test Drive Unlimited 2 this year - plus Burnout developer Criterion’s Need for Speed may show up at E3.
It’s great to see the little indie guy can catch a break - worth £6m this time around.
