The Cambridge, UK studio is handling the Xbox 360 and PS3 title, although no release date exists yet. Dante is back but looks are most deceiving.
This new DMC will ”redefine the franchise” pledge Capcom. This seems to have caused a bit of a stir especially when ‘Dante’ was shown off in a reveal trailer looking almost worlds apart from his more traditional appearance.
Here’s the setup for Devil May Cry 5: ”Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost.”
Ninja Theory director Tameem Antoniades says they’re ”taking a younger Dante” incorporating today’s edgy youth culture, like clothing, music and street art? ”We’re hoping to make a game that even Capcom can be proud of.” No release date was hinted.
