Quantic Dreams’ Heavy Rain won’t be getting a sequel, as long as creator David Cage gets his way. He’s got ”nothing else to say” with it.
Heavy Rain will be getting DLC however, but they explore ”what led the characters” up to who they are in the game; they’re mini prequels.
”I don’t want to do a sequel because I’ve said what I had to say about these characters and this story,” Cage told OPM in their latest issue, reports The Lost Gamer.
“Honestly, I have nothing else to say,” he said, adding, “I believe that the value of my company lies in its ability to create new IP’s.” Of course DLC isn’t out of the picture.
”The game tells a full story, nothing is missing from it. The approach to DLC was to say, let’s work on prequels. What led the characters to be who they are in Heavy Rain? What happened to them before?” It’s out exclusively on PS3 February 26th in Europe.
