Conroy calls the second game ”really, really dark,” comparing it to the new animated film ‘Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker’. Great.
During a panel at the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo, Conroy told fans that latest game from developer Rocksteady will be in similar tone to the new ‘Batman Beyond’ cartoon movie. ”It’s really, really dark,” he said, relating it to the film.
”It involves a lot of the villains and it goes to that area - it’s that dark.” Conroy accidentally confirmed the existence of Two-Face in Arkham Asylum 2. ”There’s a very complicated cast,” he added after his slip. ”A lot of villains are in it. I’ll just leave it at that!”
Warner Bros now owns a majority share in Rocksteady after the huge critical and commercial reception of Batman: Arkham Asylum - seen now as the high benchmark for comic-to-game projects. Are you itching for more Gotham action?
Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC - no release date yet.
