It’s to ”enable a new generation” to enjoy their ”most celebrated titles” ever, whilst serving the ”much appreciated community” of long-time SEGA fans.
So far we know that Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi are getting re-released on XBLA and PSN, but they also reveal SEGA Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5.2 are on their way as well. The last two are confirmed as due sometime in ”early 2011”.
”The release of these games marks SEGA’s ongoing effort to bring its best-sellers from the Dreamcast era to the latest consoles,” said VP of SEGA Digital Business, Haruki Satomi. Let’s hope they keep the releases coming.
”We want to enable a new generation of players to experience some of the most celebrated titles our video game history has to offer, while at the same time appealing to our enthusiastic and much appreciated community of fans,” they added.
SEGA Bass Fishing is all about, well, it’s a fishing simulator. Space Channel 5.2 stars a reporter and dancer called Ulala, one of SEGA’s weirder and oddly addictive titles.
