The game will for the first time take place away from Battle of Wuzhang Plains and include an entirely new region, the Jin Kingdom. The combat will be completely revamped, including dual wielding. There will also be a new Conquest mode, which allows gamers to freely roam China and create their own stories.
The PlayStation 3 version will also feature 3D and PlayStation move support.
