Age of Conan is now officially a free-to-play MMO as Funcom flips on the changeover, and reveals it’s called Age of Conan: Unchained with a trailer.
New solo instances Forgotten City and The Breach have debuted alongside the F2P launch. Funcom want old and new blood. A cash shop will be opening.
Naturally when they say ‘free-to-play’ they mean providing you don’t want any fancy frills in your online experience, otherwise it’s time to part with some micro-transactional cash. A ‘cash shop’ will be swinging its doors open for Age of Conan players.
