This ”very unique game” stars undead slayer Juliet Starling, and she’s looking to discover the cause of a ”colossal zombie outbreak”. We’re armed with a chainsaw.
Crazy game designer man Goichi Suda (aka Suda51) and studio Grasshopper reckon they’ve got a fresh spin on the zombie scene. Hollywood director/writer James Gunn has been put on the project by Warner Brothers for his ”cult humour and edgy storytelling”.
Here’s what the press release had to say: ”Lollipop Chainsaw is the ‘un-deadly’ story of sweet and killer zombie hunter Juliet Starling and her quest to uncover the root of a colossal zombie outbreak. With her wickedly awesome chainsaw in hand, Juliet slices, dices and splits her way through hordes of the undead, but soon realizes the horde is only the opening act to a festival of zombie rock lords determined to kill the chainsaw wielding cheerleader.”
Lollipop Chainsaw releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2012.
