Q4 ‘11 didn’t perform as well as the previous year’s, but Homefront is attributed as their ‘primary drive’ for success. The new IP has had a ”solid start”.
2.6 million units of Homefront have shipped with 2.4 million of that in the first week of the game on sale. “THQ posted strong fourth quarter results primarily driven by the success of Homefront,” said THQ boss Brian Farrell.
“We have already shipped 2.6 million units, a solid start for this new franchise, which kicks off the strongest pipeline of AAA core games in our history.”
”We also continued to grow the uDraw franchise with the successful international debut of this compelling new tablet. Today, I am pleased to announce that we plan to bring exclusively designed uDraw GameTablets to Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 platforms this holiday,” he continued.
THQ shipped 1.7m units of UDraw GameTablet, 4m of WWE videogames, 3m of UFC Undisputed 2010 and has now cleared 6m in the Dawn of War franchise’s history. The uDraw GameTablet will officially unveil for Xbox 360 and PS3 at E3 this year.
