It was reported that Prey 2 would be using the id Tech 5 game engine but Bethesda’s Pete Hines has dismissed that claim saying only id Software’s Rage is using it fully right now as the engine is still in development itself.
”This game has been in development for quite a while and id Tech 5 is still in progress (until Rage ships, and probably even after). So it really wasn’t an option,” said Hines. Prey involves aliens abducting us poor inferior humans and treating us like meat.
