EA Games boss Frank Gibeau stated in an interview with GTTV’s Geoff Keighley that Mirror’s Edge 2 “hasn’t been killed,” and added, “We’re actively looking at how to bring it back in the right way.”
He went on to say, “We love that franchise. The DICE guys really created something, I think, special the first time around. You’ve got to have a big idea to be able to do the next one and that’s what we’re working on.”
DICE is also developing Battlefield 3, and when broached about using the shooter’s Frostbite 2.0 engine with Mirror’s Edge 2, he admitted, “You’ll see that combination, I’m sure.”
