GamersFirst, publisher of free-to-play MMOs, has picked up another MMO, after having resurrected APB as APB: Reloaded last November. The publisher has acquired the post-apocalyptic MMO set in the American Southwest Fallen Earth.
As one might expect, GamersFirst will turn Fallen Earth into a free-to-play MMO; the transition will come over the course of five months. When the game does go free-to-play, gamers will be able to access every zone and instance in the title for free, but can choose to pay for items or other conveniences from the Fallen Earth store.
Those gamers who continue to pay their subscription through the five-month transition period will earn “Veteran Rewards” which include the ability to purchase a lifetime membership for the price of an existing subscription, as well as unnamed veteran-only in-game items.
