It features a ”full 3D environment and real-time control,” unlike other Unity titles says Silverlode. Two of six factions are playable: Light and Undead.
The servers for the free-to-play MMORTS have been wiped to ”create a clean slate for Beta testing.” New and previous beta testers can sign up right now for ”immediate approval and play.” The open beta focuses on PvP with 1v1 and 2v2 matches, plus a tutorial.
”Warspire is the most advanced RTS running on the Unity 3D engine to date. Unlike other browser-based games, Warspire features a full 3D environment and real-time control.”
”Buildings and units are built and deployed in real time and controlled with a fully-featured graphical user interface comparable to those seen in the most popular contemporary RTS games,” blurbs the Silverlode Interactive press release.
Two of the games factions are available in the beta, the Light and the Undead. ”Four additional factions are planned for release as time goes on.”
Additional units can be purchased with in-game or real life currency. ”Once purchased, units become a part of a player’s persistent customizable army. Hero units gain experience and levels that carry over between matches.”
”We wanted to provide Beta players with an amazing opportunity to get in on the ground floor of Warspire by providing them with some exclusives,” said Silverlode’s Jason Faller.
“Those who contribute to the Beta phase will receive two free heroes in their starting army, as well as five dollars in free credits.” Visit the official Warspire website for more.
