Square-Enix continues to try to salvage the disaster that has been Final Fantasy XIV, as producer Naoki Yoshida has laid out an extensive list of gameplay changes the development team has planned.
The list was posted on the Square-Enix forums here, and is comprised of changes that much of the community has asked for, such as better tutorials and user interfacing, a new job system and a better fast travel and mount system. Yoshida has also said fixing the game’s battle system will be a priority, and that the team will be introducing an auto-attack system designed to reward effort and reduce monotony.
Square-Enix has not charged current users with a subscription fee, while the PlayStation 3 version is far off. The major earthquake in Japan also suspended development for a few weeks.
