Electronic Arts’ new entry into the Need for Speed entry will be powered by DICE’s Battlefield 3 graphic engine, EA is reporting.
Need for Speed: The Run, which is based on the infamous Cannonball Run cross-country street race, will be using the powerful Frostbite 2 engine that has wowed gamers and press with its demonstrations of Battlefield 3.
Everything in the recent trailer is rendered by Frostbite 2, which is impressive since the “Jack” scenes look as if they’re live-action, when they’re actually CGI through the impressive engine.
