Capcom has confirmed that a playable demo for Dragon’s Dogma will be released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 ahead of the game’s launch in May 2012.
Players will be able to experience two of the game’s character classes with a party of three Pawns, as you face two separate encounters. Play as the Fighter and make your way through underground tunnels and chambers before taking on the deadly Chimera in a Prologue quest, set before the events of the main game. Strider is the other playable class, who’s weapons of choice are bow and daggers, which can be used to defeat the Griffin in the open plains surrounding the capital of Gransys.
You’ll also be able to design both your playable character and main Pawn using the game’s in-depth character creation tools. Purchasers of Dragon’s Dogma will then be able to export both these characters into the full game when it’s released.
Dragon’s Dogma is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America on 22nd May and across Europe on 25th May.
