Two of the most famous full-motion video (FMV) adventure games will be coming DRM-free to Good Gold Games: Trilobyte’s spooky The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour.
The 7th Guest was a Gothic thriller set in the mansion of a crazed toymaker named Henry Stauf, while the sequel, The 11th Hour, was set 70 years later in the same mansion. Both games featured devious puzzles and effective use of FMV, arguably the best use of the then-hot tech using the CD-ROM drive. In fact, The 7th Guest was the first game ever to require a CD-ROM drive, and the game was spread out on two CDs.
