Bohemia Interactive has announced that their upcoming sci-fi strategy game Carrier Command : Gaea Mission will be starting its “Play & Contribute” beta test on the 6th April. Gamers will be able assist in the game’s development process by engaging in the beta.
According to Bohemia Interactive CEO Marek Španěl, ”Our aim is to open up the project so that people will be able to contribute not only in terms of funding, but also by helping us to further improve what we feel is already a great experience. For us, as an independent developer, involving outside enthusiasts like this is extremely valuable and we greatly appreciate the support of everyone willing to join in.”
To engage in the beta, players preorder the game from Bohemia’s online store here. Purchases of either the regular edition (19.99 EUR) or the premium P&C Supporter edition (39.99 EUR) will be eligible. The P&C Supporter pack adds a bonus digital Gaea Universe soundtrack (composed by BAFTA winner Troels Brun Folmann).
Bohemia also announced that Carrier Command: Gaea Mission has been delayed for release, and will arrive September 2012.
