A product page for a new game called Fable Heroes has appeared out of nowhere on the Xbox.com Marketplace, and according to the description, the game is a party game tie-in to Fable: The Journey, and also utilizes the Kinect sensor.
According to the product page, the game allows “4 players play both cooperatively and competitively” as they ”work together as heroes of Albion to defeat familiar foes and new enemies while collecting as many gold coins as possible.” Said coins can be used to purchase items and upgrades in Fable: The Journey.
The game appears to be a Mario Party-styled game as the screenshots shows off a board game mechanic complete with rolling dice. Other screenshots show mine kart racing, brawls, whack-a-bug competitions and combat against a giant Hobbe King.
Microsoft over the weekend held a pre-GDC 2012 press conference, and it is probable that this was one of the games that was revealed that is still under embargo. The embargo will probably be lifted later today when Game Developers Conference formally begins.
