Deep Silver has revealed some of the new content coming to developer Techland’s open world zombie RPG sequel Dead Island: Riptide, which includes a fifth player character, John Morgan, and the city of Henderson.
Morgan is described by Deep Silver as a master of hand-to-hand combat, stating, “His career in the US Navy has not taken off as he originally had envisioned, so he spends his time as a cook on a military ship. Little does he know that soon he will have to bring his skills into practice when the ship nears the island of Palanai.”
Henderson is a new city hub where the wealthiest travelers made their pitstop, but since the undead outbreak and monsoon destruction, the area is now flooded and falling apart.
Dead Island: Riptide is due to be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in April 2013.
