Red Dead Redemption developer Rockstar San Diego has placed a new job posting on industry site Gamasutra for a new open world game.
The developer is looking for a tools programmer ”responsible for developing art and design content creation pipelines”, a ”talented” gameplay programmer ”ready for the challenges posed by large scale open worlds with complex AI and physics” with ”knowledge of animation, camera, AI and physics problems and solutions”, and a networking programmer who ”specializes in the synchronization of the wide range of gameplay mechanics found in a Rockstar open world game.”
The specific skill sets that are being sought after seem to indicate not only an open world title, but one with a multiplayer component.
Rockstar San Diego is best known for such titles as the aforementioned Red Dead Redemption, the Midnight Club series, and Redemption’s predecessor Red Dead Revolver.
