Gazillion Entertainment has announced that the closed beta for its Marvel Comics-licensed MMO Marvel Heroes will start on the 1st October.
Gamers interested in taking part in the MMO can sign up for the beta at the official site here.
Unlike DC Universe Online, players don’t create their own superhero. Rather they play as actual Marvel superheroes including Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, Wolverine, Hulk, among others. Each character enjoys his or her own special power set. In addition, the Marvel Heroes plays as an action-RPG rather than as a standard MMO.
Marvel Heroes has no release date yet, but a Spring 2013 launch is expected.
