Hawken virtual payments to be completed with Live Gamer

Meteor Entertainment has enlisted the help of monetisation firm Live Gamer to help launch its free-to-play shooter.

Although users can enjoy the game without spending, the developers are hoping players will take advantage of virtual goods on offer with real money. Live Gamer’s structure will allow 27 payment methods from 49 currencies, meaning those who don’t own credit cards can get in on the action. Prepaid cards, text-message billing and a host of other ways to pay will be installed.

Without this internal structure, you can bet Hawken would have no chance of making it as a free release.
