During GamesCom 2012 Capcom treated Lost Planet 3 fans to some gameplay footage and more details about the third instalment set on an icy world.
A hookshot style weapon debuts too which grants players access to new areas, as well as outright kills foes when driving. Capcom showed some cave action against buzzing fire-wasps.
Some convenient cover hotspots were strewn throughout the cave and QTE played a role if one of the buzzing pests managed to grab you. Capcom also teased the wider story.
Lost Planet 3 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2013. It will be on the Gamescom floor this week.
