Last Comic Con in July, Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono let fans know that ”Darkstalkers Is Not Dead.” The 2D fighter has been in a deep sleep, however, since 2005. The last Darkstalkers game was Darkstalkers Chronicle for the PlayStation Portable.
The original Darkstalkers on the PSOne.It does seem like Capcom is waking the property up now, as a trademark registration has been filed by the company’s Japanese office.
It is unknown which platforms the new title would be for, though at the very least, there will be both a PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita version.
