Dark Horse Comics has teamed up with developer Radical Entertainment to release a three issue digital comic book series this February that will bridge Prototype with Prototype 2.
The first entry, “The Anchor,” will be released on the 15th February, continues the story of Alex Mercer, the protagonist from the first game. The second issue, “The Survivors,” follows a small group of residents of New York trying to escape the city after it has been transformed into NYZ with the outbreak of the Blacklight virus; it will be released on the 29th February. The third and final story will be released on the 15th March and is called “The Labyrinth.” It will provide fans a deeper look into the backstory of Sgt. James Heller, the protagonist of Prototype 2.
Each of the comics are illustrated by some of Dark Horse’s most talented artists, including Paco Díaz, Chris Staggs, and Victor Drujiniu.
Prototype 2 will be released on the 24th April for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
