They are using Bloodlines as a template for the type of atmosphere they want to create in the MMO, where differing Kindred societies clash and vie for supremacy.
Pen and paper RPGs make a natural move into the MMO space, claimed CCP’s Chris McDonough, because they focus entirely on individual characters that make up the world. The team is emphasising the gameplay on player to player interactions as it makes the most sense.
There will be a single shared ‘universe’ for the World of Darkness much like EVE Online enjoys. McDonough assures fans that a triple A development team is still working away on the MMO from all over the world. On the surface the game won’t have much supernatural presence until players start digging deeper.
