Microsoft will be bringing first-time developer Tequila Works’ new horror platformer Deadlight to Xbox Live Arcade this Summer; the game has no relation to the similarly named last-gen first person shooter for the Xbox, Gamecube and PlayStation 2.
Deadlight takes place in an alternate timeline where 1986 is the setting of an apocalyptic world where a mysterious disease has decimated mankind. The gamer plays a solitary man, Randall Wayne, trekking over the American West Coast, dealing with people who have been turned into killer automatons by the disease.
Tequila Works describes the game as a “puzzle platformer”, and the screenshots make the game look like a cross between Shadow Complex and Limbo.
Madrid-based Tequila Works was founded in 2009 by Raúl Rubio Munárriz and Luz Sancho Rodríguez, and the current team includes ex-members of Blizzard Entertainment, MercurySteam and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe,
