Tribes Ascend isn’t the only game on developer Hi-Rez Studio’s plate. The studio has announced that preorders have begun for their third person shooter MOBA, Smite.
Smite is a MOBA much in the general style of Monday Night Combat, except the player takes on the role of various gods from all sorts of mythologies, lumped together in one big stew. Some of the gods include Ra, Hades, Kali, Ymir, and Sun Wu Kong, to name a few.
The MOBA is free-to-play, but only with access to five of the gods. Gamers can purchase access of ten more gods for $29.99 USD. However, preordering the game now from the official site slashes the price to $19.99 USD, and allows access to the closed beta.
