As scheduled, CD Projekt RED revealed their new Cyberpunk-licensed game at a presentation in Warsaw, Poland, officially titled Cyberpunk 2077. The game is based on the pen-and-paper Cyberpunk roleplaying game created by Mike Pondsmith.
According to the developer, Cyberpunk 2077 takes place as the title implies in the ”dark future” of 2077 where future tech has become ”both the salvation and the curse of humanity.” The game takes place in Night City, a dystopic metropolis which will be the setting for an open world sandbox.
CD Projekt RED first announced the project back in May 2012.
