Remedy: Next-gen consoles a "quantum leap" from current gen

Two and a half years ago, Remedy stated that developers were “in no hurry” to develop for next-generation consoles. That changed a year later when Remedy started posting job ads for a new “groundbreaking” AAA title that was for next-gen hardware, with most believing Alan Wake 2 was coming to Microsoft’s next gen console.

As the next gen approaches, Remedy’s Oskari Hakkinen has revealed that the future consoles are a “quantum leap” more advanced than the current gen.

According to Hakkinen, “We are working as usual, first with a relatively small team on a next-generation project. One wonders, yes always is: Can the new consoles really be that much better than the previous Rest assured: it’s you, it is a quantum leap.”

Both the unnamed Sony and Microsoft consoles are believed to be coming Holiday 2013.
