Nexon and NCsoft interested in purchasing Valve

Reports suggest two Korean companies, Nexon and NCsoft, are interested in acquiring Valve.

An anonymous source claimed the two have discussed a potential merger and move for the gaming giant. In June, Nexon bought a large stake in NCsoft. Since then the company has proceeded to raise cash.

Nexon currently licenses Counter-Strike for their Counter-Striker Online title. Although no rumours have been confirmed, it seems Valve is going to be linked with every major publisher as we head into the next generation.

Update: NCSoft has denied the report, telling Polygon ”There is no truth to this rumor.”
