Active Zone Group are a new Polish development team that are working on their first title, a racing game called Death Road. The PC version of the game will be released on 30th March, and console versions are in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but these won’t be ready for a few months yet.
Death Road is a racing game set in the future on the planet Ameliana. Players will get the chance to drive eleven futuristic vehicles and will visit eight different locations. Speed won’t be the only element used to win a race in Death Road, as players will be able to take advantage of an arsenal which contains six basic weapons, including, machine guns, plasma guns and tactical missiles.
Several game modes will be on offer, with the single-player campaign containing 55 missions across four different chapters, which, according to the developers, should offer eight hours of playtime.
There will also be fast race, time trial, elimination, mine field, combat, and the hunt, along with bonuses and achievements. For those of you that like to play online, you’ll be pleased to hear that a multiplayer mode will be featured too.
Death Road will be released on 30th March for PC on various digital distribution stores.
