Microsoft has officially announced on the Play XBLA Blog the development of Joy Ride Turbo, which will be eschewing the Kinect functionality of the first Joy Ride, and will be using a regular controller. The game will also feature a new Stunt Park, which is described as ”a vast, vibrant playground for your car where you can jump off cliffs, shoot out of a cannon, and more.”
Gamers will explore the park and collect trophies, car parts, and coins which will unlock up to 42 vehicles which all have their own characteristics.
Joy Ride Turbo will include three gameplay modes including Battle Race, Pro Race & Time Trial. The game will feature both online multiplayer and split-screen four way offline multiplayer.
