Xbox 360 headsets may not be compatible with the Xbox One, but gamers will be able to capture streaming gameplay video with the same equipment.
A Microsoft rep confirmed, ”Xbox One will support gameplay footage capture just as it works on Xbox 360,” meaning the next-gen console will still allow players to capture footage over HDMI without the hinderance HDCP (High-Bandwidth Copyright Protection) with devices such as the Elgato Game Capture HD and Roxio Game Capture HD Pro.
It’s unknown whether the PlayStation 4 will support such devices. Stay tuned.
