The rather vague 2014 window for Eidos Montreal’s Thief has been nailed down to February 28th. It’ll be simultaneously launching on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4, announces Square Enix.
Box art for Thief has been revealed today but a new trailer has also gone live for Gamescom 2013, where more of the next-gen Garrett will be detailed. There’ll be no hands-on.
Eidos Montreal developed the critically acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution, so plenty of that is hopefully rubbing off on the Master Thief’s return to PC.
”Garrett the Master Thief is entangled in the growing layers of conflict between Baron Northcrest and the oppressed masses led by Orion, the voice of the people. In a City on the brink of revolution, Garrett’s skills are all he can trust as he walks the fine line between politics and the people,” blurbs Square Enix.
Gamescom 2013 runs August 21-25 with Thief showcasing at the Square Enix booth (B21/C20) in hall 9.
