We use our resources (stickers) that we collect to ‘power up’ cards which can then unlock advancements. The video also exposes the new Follower system in the works.
The team has been reworking the Followers to make them more ‘living’ to act as ”little RPG characters” curious about the world around them. Animations ‘aren’t stitched in yet’.
We also get a new ‘leashing’ feature which means Followers can be directed to work on specific plots instead of whatever happens to be closest to them. Molyneux explains how the new timeline system is functional but ”the polish is not there.” As that’s not the only issue the team is dealing with right now, Molyneux is hesitant to release a new beta build.
Animations have to be ‘stitched’ into the Followers behaviour before they’re confident in releasing their latest beta work. Without the animations the Followers look rather lifeless and can leave the players clueless as to what’s going on with them as they each have stamina levels to manage now.
