SEGA and Creative Assembly’s first campaign expansion for Total War: Rome II is now on the march with Caesar in Gaul. It’s an all-new campaign map focusing specifically on Caesar’s Gallic war.
The campaign spans seven years with turns also dealing with the change in seasons, with Rome and several key barbarian states to play from. Conquer Gaul and southern Britannia.
It’s a standalone campaign that doesn’t affect the original bid for conquest. There’s also a greater focus on characters. Today also sees the launch of Patch 8.
”Playing as Rome or one of the key barbarian tribes in this seven-year conflict, players will experience a campaign map that represents an expanded, more detailed vision of Gaul and the south coast of Britannia. With multiple turns per year, this expansion also brings seasonal changes, with new gameplay effects and stunning visual alterations.”
”Caesar in Gaul also offers players a new historical battle to challenge their generalship. The Battle of Alesia, the decisive engagement of Caesar’s war in Gaul, offers a unique tactical situation in which the Romans must survive a twin-pronged onslaught of the massed Gallic forces.”
Meanwhile Patch 8 has also released with patch notes on the official Total War Wiki.
Total War: Rome II - Caesar in Gaul is available now via Steam for £9.99 / $14.99 / €14.99.
