Namco Bandai has announced a new browser-based card collecting game, Tekken Card Tournament, for PC, tables, and smartphones where gamers can scan physical cards into the game in addition to owning virtual cards. The cards simulate a Tekken fighting game match, where cards allow moves and attacks.
Gamers will start off with a digital deck, but will be able to buy booster packs at retailers that players scan via unique QR Code scanning. However, the digital game does not require physical cards to augment the player’s deck.
Tekken Card Tournament is due to be released “soon”, so stay tuned.
