Sony’s decision not to include a camera as part of the standard PS4 package was questioned by Kojima-san. He believes they’ve become so widespread it’s practically ‘the norm’ to have one.
The Metal Gear Solid creator revealed his increased interest in Kinect during an interview at E3 2013. Metal Gear Solid 5 releases for Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4.
”The Kinect itself brings a lot of different capabilities as well and I will like to see what I can do with the voice command, and the movement with the gestures and see what we can do with that,” said Hideo Kojima. On the PS4 lacking a camera: ”Considering that the camera is so widespread in smartphones and tablets, I think it’ll build up to be the norm.”
Kojima-san is also attracted to the likes of SmartGlass. The Japanese developer is known for including some quirky gameplay now and then with his games.
